Welcome to the colorful word of MARISCAPES! I am Marishka – a self-taught artist with endless bouts of energy and creative ideas :) I live in Poland with my husband and tons of colorful yarns :)
When I was a little girl (born in Ukraine) I used to create different things but my main passion was painting. I even created my own technique of painting with tiny little dots which I practiced for 25+ years. But because painting can take lots of time and space I finally decided to try something different (but still colorful) :)
Since 2011 I’ve been designing & creating unique fiber jewelry for bright & daring people who love life with all its colors. I love playing with colors & textures. I wrap, knit, crochet, paint and create whatever tickles my imagination or whatever you would like me to create! Just ask me about matching a necklace to your favorite bag or dress. And remember, no two necklaces are 100% alike even if they are made out of the same materials. Each one is as unique as its happy owner!
Originally my inspiration came from colorful beaded Maasai jewelry which I wanted to “translate” into yarn and add a bit of a softer, Slavic look. It turned out to be a great idea and since then my necklaces have won the hearts of ladies age 5-80 all over the world!
