I’m shipping a 19×15×7 8 Lb Box. I set my listing for calculated shipping for UPS Ground. I had a sale today, the listing showed the shipping at 16.31, buyer in CA. When I went to paypal to pay and print the shipping label, the actual cost of shipping was $20.90. I went to the UPS site, and got the same shipping cost of 20.90, but because of the size of the box, it is showing this is being billed as 15 lbs. How can I adjust to get the actual shipping cost to reflect the correct amount, before a buyer makes a decision to buy, and pay.

The box is over 1,728 cu in (more than 1 cubic ft) it will go as a dimentional weight and I have never seen any rhyme or reason for how they calculate the prices at UPS since they seem to be different everytime I try to get a price…
May want to check at UPS to see if UPS calculating retail or commericial base rates, because the shipping calculated is retail cost (on bonanza) at least as far as I can tell for USPS..not sure what UPS calculated rate is set
The best bet would be tell the buyer the shipping cost at UPS (if decides to buy then enter the price as a flat rate and let them purchase) and print the label in paypal instead of here

I have found the easiest way to deal with large boxes in the Bonanza shipping calculator is to add a few pounds when you’re filling out the listing form. You can get an idea of what it will be in the 3 zones Bonanza shows you… Many times what the buyer then sees as the shipping price is “close enough” for me.
