Who's who...?

noticing a lot of sellers mentioning they never received any new fees emails..

i wonder how many sellers on here didn’t get either email nor have logged into this seller forum & are 100% in the dark about the new fee structure & item listing fees, only to get smacked with a higher percentage FVF fee & an $20.00 extra fee on their bill for May……
probably a pretty lucrative bet if 70-90% of sellers aren’t even aware or paying attention…

the real impact will begin next month when all sellers realize what is going on & the mass exodus occurs.

thoughts…?

I’m Me ? Yes if many did not have email notifications set in account settings they probably did not get notified. Yes it will be a $ shock for new fee’s

I was thinking the same.

I haven’t gotten Bonanza emails in [URL removed] not when something sells, not when someone sends a question, and I got this notice the night of April 30th, which is unacceptable. I promptly deleted all my listings, aside from the last 50. There has been a serious breakdown in communication. I bet a lot of people were not aware of these new fees.

I also wondered if a lot of people didn’t get notified about the new fees. Once they are billed for it, there are going to be a lot more angry sellers.

Even if they log into Bonanza every day, they aren’t going to see anything about the new fees unless they are actively looking for it.

Wow. I gwt on Bonanza every day and never saw this any email about this Time to close my account since I never sell anything anymore.

Pick a category, scroll down the page. Works best on a computer.
Pick the sellers with large inventories, say, 2000+ listings.
I just did in fine jewelry and 2 of them had not been online in a few months and had 3 lifetime orders, and 5 orders for the other.
They likely will get a surprise bill next month.

with autopay & likely 30-40% of sellers do not read their bank statements monthly… Bonz could probably slip the $20 in for a few months before it even gets noticed

Well, to be honest, if those ‘sellers’ are seriously not paying any attention to what is happening on the platforms they sell thru then those are definitely the ones we just do not need here. Running a business takes much more than simply listing and forgetting. Must have great sellers to keep the customers that do shop here happy and returning. Can’t really sugar coat that.

so, in your view, NOT getting notified of changes to a platforms fee structure you sell on means you aren’t worth being a seller on here… interesting perspective. i only recently started coming to the sellers forum BECAUSE i got the emails, if i never got the emails, i would not know anything.

Fortress_Lemonade says: May 02, 2025

to expand… jsut because a seller was not notified, that does not mean they are a bad seller. it means they were not informed directly or given notice via the blog.

Usually I’d agree with sellers keeping themselves informed, but if they didn’t get the first email, there is no announcement anywhere visible on the site. They have the ability to add announcements in your selling dashboard at the very top but chose not to do it. This is on Bonz.

About the sellers just listing and forgetting, I think that’s why the site has so many negative reviews now and why they are charging listing fees. it’s like using a hammer to clean a window but that’s the way Bonz is doing it now I guess.
