This "DUKAKIS / BENTSEN" pin back is slightly different from others, in that the legend "Paid for by Minnesota DFL" is printed in small white letters, below the lower red & white bar.  "DFL" is the abbreviation for the Democrat-Farmer-Labor Party, an amalgamation of the Democrat Party and the Farmer-Labor Party.

Former Massachusetts Governor MICHAEL DUKAKIS was the Democrat Party candidate for President of the United States in 1988, and former Texas Senator LLOYD BENTSEN was the Democrat candidate for Vice-President of the United States.
