Eight years before the appearance of THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE by Paul Gallico (as well as 11 years before the classic Twentieth Century Fox film version, portraying GENE HACKMAN, ERNEST BORGNINE, RED BUTTONS, CAROL LYNLEY, RODDY MCDOWELL, STELLA STEVENS and SHELLEY WINTERS), science fiction author Arthur C. Clarke had written a similar novel -- but with a slightly different twist:  what if a moon liner, filled with tourists on a routine voyage across the dust-filled "seas" of the Moon, were suddenly to disappear beneath the Moon's surface, the victim of a moonquake and a huge tidal wave of sand?  How will they be found -- and how will they be rescued?  A real nail-biter from a great author -- and you won't get your feet wet!
