Offered is a wonderful old Rochester (NY) Daily Union and Advertiser, Civil War newspaper. Sat evening edition, Nov 5, 1864, Vol 37 #263. Mostly devoted to events in the War of the Rebellion and the George McClellan platform for president. It recants his leadership at the Siege of Yorktown in 1862, has an article about Andy Johnson assuming dictorial powers in Tennesee and proclaming slavery abolished in the state. Also a neat article on the treatment of Rebel prisoners at Federal hands and much more. I included a lot of scans od the headlines to give you an idea of the content. It opens to 4 large pages with probably about 8pt type, so lots to read. Folded edge fairly tattered, some edge and corner wear, but for age, I would still rate it good to good plus. Light soiling. It will look great framed. Newspaper opens to about 41"w x 27"h. It will need to mail flat for the size. A nice find.

I do not set rates and can’t afford to absorb these costs, being a small operation. Charge calculated by packed size, weight and ship to destination from NY.
