Obituary of J. Kenneth Lincoln, Sr. His obituary from the Richmond, Maine newspaper dated 2006: J. Kenneth Lincoln Sr., 83, of Brunswick Road died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006, at Maine Medical Center in Portland. He was born in Wiscasset on Sept. 10, 1922, a son of George S. II and Josephine T. (Jones) Lincoln. He attended Wiscasset schools and graduated from Wiscasset Academy. He was employed at Bath Iron Works as a pipefitter and entered the Army serving as a staff sergeant during World War II. He was employed at Lincoln's Motor Express with his dad in Wiscasset; and from 1949 to1956, he was a partner with KenRo Chevrolet Dealership in Damariscotta. He was then employed with Mobil Oil Co., from 1956 to 1962, and the U.S. Postal Service as a rural route carrier, retiring in 1988 after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Owl's Head Transportation Museum, the American Legion in Wiscasset, the Order of the Odd Fellows in Round Pond, the Tuesday Club and the Wiscasset School Board, and a reservist for Maine State Police. He was survived by his wife, Vera Dodge Lincoln, of Richmond; two sons, J. Kenneth Lincoln Jr. and his wife, Kathleen, of Newcastle, and George S. Lincoln III and his wife, Patti, of Camden; one daughter, Emelyn L. Kappler and her husband, Harry, of Barter's Island; one stepson, Stephen D. Reed, of Wiscasset; his former wife, Frederica R. Lincoln, of Wiscasset; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
