This is a 1986 koala figurine from John Raya's popular Beasties of the Kingdom collection. This friendly koala is perched on a tree stump.
Raya's background was in cartooning, and he left his position as an art director at Disney World in Florida in 1975 to found his own company. His sculptures are all made in the US and are relatively small in size.
Most of Raya's figurines include his name and the year in the mold, as well as a paper sticker. They chip fairly easily, so condition is sometimes an issue.
