The Ping G2 iron Series represents the most forgiving iron Ping has ever designed. The G2 HL has normal G2 irons from 6 through to Sand Wedge but the 3, 4 and 5 irons are designed to give a higher launch to make them easier to use.
Keep in mind that this Ping club is an older model that is no longer produced by the company. However, used clubs are available online or at some golf stores.
Hybrid clubs may not be for every golfer. Though hybrids are generally used more by amateur golfers who have a difficult time hitting a 2 or 3 iron, the low-lofted fairway wood is used by scratch golfers more often than not. Hybrids have a shorter shaft, which help golfers maintain better posture during their swing.
Review: "I have been using these irons for about 7 months now. When i started with them, I was playing to a 22 handicap. I am now just about to sell them, not because I don't like them, but because, unfortunately, there is only so far you can go with them. I now play to a 10 handicap, and have won 5/7 competitions I have played in. They are simply superb irons for the improving golfer. The confidence you have setting up with them is only matched by the way you hit them.
No matter how you hit them, its so hard not to hit them well.
I have been playing with regular shafted blue dot irons, and never got them custom fitted, I possibly could and should have done, but I never needed to, they're that good. I should be playing with stiff shafted orange dots, but when you hit an iron as well as I did when I had them, custom fitting just meant 2 weeks with no golf.
If you fall into the range of 30-12 handicap, I seriously recommend them. And, because they are 4 years old now, you can get them for a fantastic price.
I hope this has helped your choice, and I hope you thoroughly enjoy your golf."
