Vintage Charles Jacquin Cobalt Blue Glass George Washington Deluxe Apricot Liqueur Bottle
Originally held 4/5 quart of 60 proof Apricot cordial liqueur.
Label on back reads "America's Oldest Cordial Producers, Charles Jacquin et cia.inc, Phila. PA , est. 1884."
Embossed on back of bust "FEDERAL LAW FORBIDS SALE OR REUSE OF THIS BOTTLE". The law, which required this to be printed on liquor bottles, went into effect in 1935 and was repealed on December 1, 1964. So this would place this bottle as having been manufactured prior to December 1964.
This is a great collectible figural bottle, in true cobalt color, of the bust of our first President, General George Washington.
VERY GOOD CONDITION ~ Cork is missing, but can easily be replaced (it will take a #8 or #9 size cork). Original label are on the bottle though they do show some wear and tear.
Measures approx. 9 1/2" tall x 5 1/2" across at widest x 4" base diameter.
Weighs 1.5 lbs prior to packaging.
