 About US;  Campbell Films is a small American family business dedicated to the preservation of rare, historical films. Started in 2007 by a father and son, team. They have worked tirelessly to digitize, compile and create truly rare and unique DVD's to share with the world. The son went to film school and father is a veteran with the historical passion, so together they assembled the content of Campbell Films. 1st Film: "Small Boat Navy". A great short story how the USN adapted to river warfare and coastal surveillance in Vietnam.  Narrated by Raymond Burr, the Navy goes about patrolling the waterways with the Swift Boats. Armed with two 50 cal machineguns and with a speed of 25 knots in shallow water. the Swift Boat was very effective.    Awesome!  Color Runtime 28:33 M

2nd Film: " USCG Lgung Lai Swift Boats " .  A rare Coast Guard film on the USCG's riverboats patrolling the waters off of Vietnam.  The USCG used the 82 foot Point-Class Cutter with the mission of interdicting the movement of arms and supplies from the Viet-Cong. The film also shows the sailors being trained weapons and survival in the jungle, etc, before they are sent to Vietnam.  26:43 M

3rd Film: "USMC Riverboat Journey".  This is the USMC Patrolling the rivers in Vietnam with APC's  (Amphibian personal carriers). Also shows the Marines helping the village people of South Vietnam with medical care and food.. 15 M

4th Film; "Eye of the Dragon" .  A great Navy film explaining a very short history of this area AKA as South East Asia.  Marco Polo reported that there where cultures were over 4000 years old and very sophisticated societies, plus the amazing fishing vessel known as the JUNK.  To this end, the USN war efforts were to patrol and interdict these boats in current battles in Vietnam on the Mekong Delta. The USN works with Republic of Vietnam (RVN) and trains them to search "River Junks" in Vietnam. Very dangerous work. Color 28:09 M

5th Film; "Riverboat Newsreels". 1st, Army Patrols Korean rivers. 2nd, Army tests "Swamp Boats". 3rd, Phuoc Vinh War Zone D, Vietnam; Infantry travels in rubber boats. 4th, Sasebo, Japan builds river barges for Vietnam. 5th, Chao Phraya River, Bangkok , Power barges used to supply troops. 6th, Chau Doc Provine, Vietnam, USN patrols villages to help in one of Vienmans worst floods  7th, Moc Hoa, Vietnam, LCACs used to patrol Vietnam rivers.  8th, Quang Xuyen, Vietnam RVN Patrols river villages. 9th, Saigon River, USN patrols river and a gun fight. 26:48  min
