Item description for Turned Wood Chalice Goblet Pedestal Bowl Hand Carved Painted Art Deco Variegated

This beautiful piece of wood art will blend with many styles of decor, including southwest, art deco, mid century modern, traditional, far east, and others. I am not sure if it is a chalice, goblet, or a pedestal bowl. It is turned wood with a hand carved band around it that is hand painted so that it has an inlay effect without being true inlay.

I do not know what kind of wood it is, but it is variegated and beautiful. It looks like more than one kind of wood, but it also looks like it is turned from one solid piece of wood. I don't know how the look was achieved, but it is stunning! It has a nice piece of felt on the bottom to protect any surface from scratches. It is just right for a bookcase, shelf, mantle, desk, curio cabinet, etc.

The chalice or bowl is approximately 5-1/2" tall. It is about 5-1/8" diameter at the top and 4-1/8" diameter at the bottom. The inside of the bowl is only about 2" deep x 3-1/2" diameter. It is possible it could be used for a mortar if you have a pestle to use with it. It can be used for candy or nuts and it can be a trinket dish or simply a display of art.

Looks like new with no apparent signs of use. There are no tags and no original packaging.

Shipping may be a bit high, depending how far it needs to ship, because it weighs almost 2 pounds with a box and packing material.

Returns must be received within 30 days, in the same packaging and same condition it was when shipped to you. Buyer pays return shipping with no refunds on the original shipping. Once the item is returned in the same condition it was when shipped, your purchase price will be refunded.

If the purchase price included shipping (FREE Shipping), the cost of the original shipping will be deducted before your refund is sent. Items returned in a different condition than when they were shipped are not eligible for a full refund.

If your item is damaged in shipment, contact me as soon as possible with photos of the package, packing materials and the damaged item. Once I see your photos showing it was damaged in shipment, I will refund your purchase 100%, including the shipping paid, without requiring a return of the damaged item(s). The photos are also needed to file the insurance claim on Priority Mail shipments.
