First we believe it to be sterling based on lion passant mark. It may be 835 silver (and not 925) because as we understand it, that was the percentage considered acceptable by the government. Not positive either way but we will side with the lion passant hallmark. Those that are 835 are usually marked as such. Regardless not a lot of silver content at just under 18 grams in weight but a very cool collectible spoon by Hendrik Hooijkaas and it comes with the original box.
