This is a professional grade rock tumbling /polishing kit for a single use 3 pound tumbler. This kit will polish up to three pounds of rock to a mirror finish. This Kit works best for quartz, jasper, agates, Apache tears and similar "soft" stones. 

The pellets are brand new virgin plastic, which are white in color, about 1/8" in diameter and are round and cylindrical in shape and float in water.

These pellets should be used during the final two polishing stages of rock tumbling.  The purpose and benefit to using plastic pellets is to maintain volume.  As progress is made in the removal of rough edges to the stones, the amount of free space in the barrel increases, which leads the stones to make repeated contact with other stones during the final stages, this can cause fractures and imperfections in the final result of the polished stones.  The polishing stages are dependent upon contact with the barrel and the polishing slurry.
