This is for a vintage 3-piece SET of 1930's - 1950's era Colobus monkey fur items: jacket, muff & hat. I'll throw in a matching monkey fur collar - which is not pictured.
So, actually, this is for 4 vintage monkey fur fashion items, not just the 3 shown.
When I searched, I found NO other monkey fur sets or lots online, only individual jackets, etc..
I did find a jacket that sold for around $1500.00. See photo #3. I'm selling my entire collection (4 items) for that price - and mine appear to be in much better condition than the one in the photo that sold.
The jacket is in excellent condition for its age.
The black lining is in excellent shape; no fading, stains, rips, tears or embroidered name.
The jacket collar looks & feels like silky sheared lamb.
The skins are soft & supple. The fur isn't shedding or missing spots.
There are 2 fabric covered coat hooks & eyes near the top of the front opening.
The hat is in excellent condition for its age.
The muff is in very good condition for its age.
The free collar (with long front panels) has seen better days.
I bought these separately as collectibles at least 20 years ago. They have been safely stored ever since. I've never worn these except to model them (photo #4)
Please note:
- The Colobus monkeys used to make these items are not an endangered species, so selling & buying Colobus monkey fur items is legal in the USA.
- The second photo of supermodel Kate Moss wearing a monkey fur jacket - which is not my jacket - is just a way of showing that wealthy, famous celebrities own & wear monkey fur jackets like this one.
All other photos in this listing are of the actual items included in this listing (fur fashions, not the mannequin) ;-)
