SUMMARY: This Classic Picasso Lithograph is after his Original Work of 1948, which was used to promote the exhibition at the Maison de la Pensee Francaise that year, from 27 November to 5 January 1949. It was the first of a series that Picasso designed for his own ceramic exhibitions, and is renowned as one of the most inventive and subtle affiches he has ever created. Deceptively simple, the work typifies the artist's unique technique of being able to transform (with ease) from the basic, to an effect of great complexity!  It is signed by Picasso ‘in the plate’ (right of centre, see pic 3), and overall the piece is in superb condition.
