Brauneker was born in Paris in 1926. He had numerous one-man exhibitions including shows at the Notre Dame de Montebello Galeries, Paris, Vieux Paris Galerie, Academie Culturelle de Paris, and Val-Mont Gallery, Verbier, Switzerland. Several of his works are part of the permanent collection of the Academie Culturelle de Paris. He died in 1994.
