THE DIGGER'S REST, WOODBURY SALTERTON, NEAR EXETER

This unique old inn is about 500 years old and was at one time a farmhouse making its own cyder. The thatched roof remains, and recently the magnificent wooden screen shown in the photograph was uncovered beneath 20 layers of wallpaper.
