The Ankylosaurus meaning 'stiff lizard' was an armoured dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous period (around 74-67 million years ago).
Ankylosaurus were 7 metres in length and weighed 4,000 kg. They were herbivores and had grinding teeth with a horny beak at the front.
