This limited edition espresso produced by Illy have become collectors pieces. Illy started producing these cups in 1992 after commissioning Matteo Thun to design an exclusively shaped cup. Illy creates a handful of new limited editions each year which are designed by both established and up and coming designers and artists. These much sought after cups are each individually numbered.
This Illy Art Collection, designed by young German artist Michael Beutler, is inspired by works that the artist created using the ancient Japanese art of origami.
This set of two espresso cups and saucers is the set 2. Each set of two cups and saucers is supplied in a full colour gift box which includes one 250g tin of Illy ground coffee.
