This charming set of bowls are by Alfred Meakin. They are marked "Fair Winds, U.S.S. Portsmouth off the Barrier Forts Canton, Permanent Colors, Made by Alfred Meakin, Staffordshire England" on the underside of each bowl. The pattern is entitled "Fair Winds" and features an off-white ironstone with brown transferware nautical themed designs.

This set includes three dessert/fruit/sauce bowls measuring 1-1/2" tall, 5-1/4" diameter at the top rim.

The condition is as shown in the photographs. No chips or cracks. Almost no signs of use.
