Sacred Heart of Jesus with Doves and Lace –8.5x11"
We love old holy cards, and this one is lovely. It was stained and faded, but we've restored it to its original bright colors. We usually cut the lace out of the restorations, but this one just didn't work without the lace. It feels fresh to us. The wounded Sacred Heart brings us grace and refreshes our souls. We find that keeping devotional art in our home helps keep us mindful of the spiritual side of our lives, and this picture is a little lift: We love being the little doves in Jesus's life!We have also restored a companion piece of the Immaculate Heart in the same style as this piece, with the same size heart surrounded by doves. As St. John Paul said, “In order to communicate the message entrusted to her by Christ, the Church needs art.”For framing this one, we suggest you keep it light. Something silver-toned or gold, or a light wood like a light, thin oak. You don't need to matte it unless you want to keep the glass off the surface, otherwise the lace and the border around the picture are plenty enough visual space, in our opinion anyway. 8.5 x 11 acid-free paper with archival ink. The print will last for generations when kept out of the direct sun. There is about an inch-and-a-third of white space around the picture. Cardboard backer. Enclosed in a tight-fitting, crystal clear bag. IMPORTANT!!! The image is smaller than the paper. Standard size. Easy to find a ready-made frame at your local Hobby Lobby. If you're sending this as a gift and would like us to frame it for you, please convo and we'll make special arrangements for you.
