Classic cutting of fans, hobstars, diamond filled rectangles and kites

Awesome 32 point star at base with hobstar center

Could be used as ice tub (intended use), fruit bowl, chilled salad bowl or floral centerpiece (use a clear plastic bag as a liner to protect from water!)


Very nice condition with the exception of a 2 flaked teeth on the low part of the serrated rim (shown) 

Hard to see. Small bruise on handle.

The American Brilliant Period of Cut Crystal was generally cut between the years of 1876 to the 1920's and met a rapid decline when the lead used in making brilliant glass was needed for World War 1.  Unique to America, the craftsmen of American Brilliant Period Cut Glass era, created their own place in the history of glassmaking. 

 

Highly collectible, from the making the glass to the craftsmenship of hand cutting the crystal, this period was like no other in the world of which we will never see again. 

No other types of glassmaking represents the beauty of crystal in its most elegant form.
