TODAY'S renewed interest in Bible reading and Bible preaching is admirably met by this new series of Guides to the actual reading of the Great Book.

The plan is simple. 

The 66 writings which make up our Bible are divided into eight groups. 

Each Guide explores one of these groups in about 100 "readings." 

The author explains enough about time and circumstances, writer and occasion, to enable the student to start reading intelligently. 

Then, as he reads and analyzes for himself, the author points out items of interest and value along the way.

The eight authors, carefully selected for this special purpose, are all competent biblical scholars; all have taught lay groups and written for them; all have had experience in the pastorate.
