Mike Shayne Marked for Murder Mystery Paperback Book by Brett Halliday 1959
(Mike Shayne #12) Mike Shayne, a red-headed hard-boiled private detective, in Miami, Florida Davis Dresser [1904-1977] created the pseudonym Brett Halliday and the series character Michael Shayne. After 1958, beginning with Fit to Kill, Brett Halliday was a house name used by several authors. Most were written by Robert Terrall, with some written by Ryerson Johnson and Dennis Lynds.

following a profitable spree at one of Miami's gambling clubs.

had been found on a deserted road the next morning - with a thirty-two slug through the heart,
with blonde and money both noticeably absent.
It was a clever little scheme and it worked perfectly three times.

Book is in acceptable condition. General shelf and corner wear. Some crease marks on front and back cover. Piece of tape on spine. Some light staining on interior and exterior. Previous owner wrote their name on the 1st page margin. A few white marks on front and back cover. Spine has some issues (See photo #3). Cover fading on both front and back cover. Heavily creased.
