This is a 1986 paperback book, Sweetie Baby Cookie Honey by Freddie Gershon.  I actually remember this book being quite popular amongst some of my friends back in the 80s, although I haven't heard much of it since.  Out of curiosity I took a look over at Goodreads.com, and readers there have been posting some pretty positive comments even though the story is a bit dated.  Appears to be a pretty "good read" (pun intended - ha), and since I have two copies, I'm offering this one for sale.

To tell you what the book is about, I've taken the following from a reader's comment over at Goodreads.  I think it is a pretty good description:

"It is not great literature, but was a fun read. The author makes up names for the main characters, which are composites of several stars. The entertainment lawyer (probably patterned after himself) is Dave Barry. A character with a different name is a thinly disguised Barry Manilow, who starts out as the pianist for a raunchy female singer sort of patterned after Bette Midler. Although Bette had a better career than the character in this book. Another character is a thinly disguised Elton John, whose real name is Reginald Dwight. The name of a character in the book is Dwight Sharon, although I don't think this particular character was patterned after Elton John. Barry and Elton are mentioned as people that characters in the book meet.

In the book he takes us through early Rock and Roll, American Bandstand, what happened when the Beatles hit, the development of MTV, and singing stars making movies. We meet the attorneys and producers behind the scenes as well as the stars. Since the book was written 25 [now 25+] years ago, we don't learn anything we haven't heard before. What the stars are doing is a lot more out in the open now."

I think it sounds interesting, and kinda fun.  If you're looking for something to read, perhaps give this one a shot!  ;)

Book is used, of course, but it's in very good shape.  Tight binding, no writing in it, pages all present and clean.  There are some little creases on the cover, nothing terrible.

Asking $3.00 obo.  Everything I have listed for sale is "or best offer", so feel free to make an offer.
