About The Record:

Deep Sea Skiving, the debut album by the British female vocal group Bananarama, peaked at no.7 on the UK album chart and was certified Silver by the BPI. It rose to #63 on US Billboard 200 charts. Three singles were Billboard charting tracks: Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye (#26 Mainstream Rock), Shy Boy (#14 Dance Music Club) and He Was Really Sayin' Something (#16 Dance Music Club). The inner-sleeve of the vinyl release contained numerous photos of the group, several of them in childhood. These pictures have not been included in any CD version of the album to date. A reviewer on allmusic.com says, "it's Bananarama's finest album by far, and an underappreciated pop gem of its era."
