All my watches are serviced, de-magnetized, and timegrapher regulated, with a three-month warranty, unlike many flippers' watches with unknown conditions. Those low price watches are typically in sorry conditions. Expect to pay $$$ for service.
This mod watch has the BWC original dial and original Swiss ETA 2783 movement, cased in a Swiss made Diver case and a Japanese authentic Seiko 5 thick solid steel bracelet.
Seiko original bracelet made in Japan in 70s and 80s were of much higher quality than their current offerings, which are often made in China. This particular bracelet is thick, oyster style, and great looking.
BWC was a less known high end Swiss watch maker who did not survive the slaughter of the quartz revolution. However, BWC has a styling and built the same caliber of Doxa.
This particular mod watch has the sporty diver style case with rotating bezel but also with that classical, clean silver, minimalist dial, similar to a Doxa.
The handsome Swiss-made diver case featuring a rotating bezel. The back is pressed in with water proof O-ring. If you know how expensive a Swiss-made diver case costs, you know how remarkable this watch came together.
ETA automatic movements have been known for their quality and values. In my opinion, starting with ETA 2472, ETA movements established themselves as the quality standard of Swiss made movement with the evolution from ETA 2472, to ETA 2532, to ETA 2783, and to the modern day high beat ETA 2824-2. The ETA 2783 movement was used in many high end Swiss watch makers from Longines to Breitling. It beats at 21600 per minutes. The best Bulova also used it.
My wrist is 6 1/2" and I wear it loosely. It is in wonderfully working condition.
I build and restore vintage automatic watches as a hobby using my knowledge in precision engineering and aesthetics. All my watches are freshly lubricated, timegrapher regulated, and cleaned to restore the pleasure of wearing a vintage watch with its full functionalities and timing performance.
I do not use Chinese-made parts, even the spring bars are Swiss Made.
The case is 36.5 mm in diameter and 41 mm from lug to lug. The bracelet width is 20 mm.
It keeps very accurate time, as expected from a well running Seiko.
Even though this is a diver watch, I do not recommend go diving with it. The pressed-in back is water proof but I don't know how deep. The crown fits and has an O-ring for water proof. However, I did not test its water proof capability. Keep it from water even though I am sure that some water splash over it will be fine.
It is medium size for a classical look, not those outlandish large but cheaply made watches flooding the store.
The sale is final. I will provide a three-month free repair service. The buyer only one way shipping back to me and I will fix it up and send it back for free.
The shipping within the US is with USPS is $8.50 and I will add extra insurance without extra cost to the buyer to protect its full value. International shipping at actual cost with insurance.
It is time to wear something different against the onslaught of electronics. In terms of the art of mechanical design, 60s and 70s were the peak. After that, it is all half electronics or full electronics.
