Description 

Nepenthes Bongso is a tropical pitcher plant endemic to Sumatra. Nepenthes Carunculata is considered a heterotypic synonym of N. Bongso by most authorities. At lower elevations, this species grows mainly as an epiphyte amidst dense vegetation, often high on the branches of trees and shrubs of mossy lower montane forest. In exposed areas, especially ridge sides and mountain summits, N. bongso grows in short, stunted upper montane forest or scrub, either terrestrially or an epiphyte. It produces large, tubby pitchers that can reach up to 14" with dark, widely flared peristomes. The Nepenthes Bongso will grow best in warm conditions with high humidity.
