• Condition: The platter has a flat chip off the underside of one end. The balance is free of chips, cracks, crazing and fleabites. here are many light scratches and marks from use and storage, only a few are easily seen without close inspection. The bottom has light shelf wear as expected. The blank is heavy along the lines of early restaurant or travel ware.
It is marked "Theodore Haviland, Limoges, France, Patent applied for" in green underglaze, Mark p, which was used between 1903 to 1925 and impressed with mark M. It's also marked "Burley & Company, Chicago" who was a retailer active until 1907 when it became Burley & Tyrell.
