This is a 2 piece "Hostess Delight" set made by HazelWare in the late 1950s to early 1960s. The Hazel-Atlas Company was sold to Continental Can Company in 1956, and they changed its name to HazelWare. (Then in 1964 and 1972 they sold the Hazel Atlas factories to Brockway Glass.) This set came to me in its original packaging. The box has completely fallen apart, so I am not including it in the sale. But what it says on the box is: Asst. 8817 1 Set; 2 pc "Hostess Delight" Set; Matching Egg Plate and Sandwich Tray; Simplicity Egg Plate and Sandwich Tray; Another CCC Consumer Product C-8817-3001 1 Set; Hazel-Atlas Glass Division of Continental Can Co., Inc. Wheeling, W. VA.; Simplicity by HazelWare.

The plates are 8 7/8 inches wide in both directions, and both retain their original gold stickers that say "Simplicity HazelWare." They have never been used, and have no damage. The stickers have partially loosened along one side, but remain at least 75% adhered. The egg tray holds 12 deviled eggs, and there is an indented square center for olives or dip, etc. A set like this is hard to find.

Together the set weighs 3 pounds 4 ounces.
