Planting and Location

>Escallonia x exoniensis 'Fradesii,' commonly known as Fradesii Escallonia, is a beautiful and versatile evergreen shrub that is a popular choice for gardens and landscapes.

>This cultivar is a hybrid between Escallonia exoniensis and Escallonia bifida, resulting in a plant with unique characteristics that set it apart from other varieties.

>Fradesii Escallonia is a dense, bushy shrub with a compact and rounded growth habit. It typically reaches a mature height of 4 to 6 feet (1.2 to 1.8 meters) and spreads about 6 to 8 feet (1.8 to 2.4 meters) wide.

>The glossy, dark green leaves are small, lance-shaped, and neatly arranged along the arching branches, providing an attractive backdrop to the abundant blooms.

>One of the most striking features of this cultivar is its profusion of showy flowers. In late spring to early summer, the Fradesii Escallonia bursts into clusters of small, tubular, funnel-shaped blossoms. The flowers have a delightful fragrance and come in various shades of pink.
