Pattern: Polka Dot Cow by Louisville
Status: Discontinued.

The company was founded in 1815 in Louisville, Kentucky, by Jacob Lewis and operated as Lewis Pottery. It changed ownership many times in the following decades, and operated under various names including Bauer Pottery, Cherokee Pottery and Louisville Pottery, among others.

This Design is heavily inspired by MA Hadley who at one point did do work for what is now known as Louisville Pottery.
One of the better-known potters to work for John B. Taylor was Mary Alice Hadley, known as M. A. Hadley, who started a company of her own in 1939. M. A. Hadley pottery became collectible and highly sought after for their varied and creative hand painted patterns. Hadley Pottery is still operating
