Tz'akbu Ajaw is represented on the Palenque Palace Tablet with her husband Pakal "the Great" and her son K'an Joy Chitam II, all of them seated on the thrones of mythical creation during the coronation ceremony of the latter. She is distinguished for carrying the warrior insignia of the flint and shield that she gives to her son.
Several studies have been carried out on the bones of the so-called Red Queen of Palenque found in 1994 in Temple XIII, which support the hypothesis that these mortal remains correspond to Tz'akbu Ajaw.
