SKMO Cashmere Cream Lupine Heirloom 25 Seeds Bulk Indoor Gardening

Instructions:

1. Prepare Soil: Use well-draining soil rich in organic matter. Lupines prefer slightly acidic to neutral soil (pH 5.5-6.5). Loosen the soil to a depth of 12-18 inches and remove any rocks or debris.

2. Scarify Seeds: Lupine seeds have a hard outer shell. To improve germination, scarify the seeds by gently nicking them with a knife or rubbing them with sandpaper. Soak the seeds in water for 12-24 hours before planting.

3. Direct Sowing: Lupines do best when sown directly in the garden. Plant seeds 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep in the soil. Space seeds 12-18 inches apart.

4. Provide Sunlight: Lupines thrive in full sun to light shade. Choose a location that receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day.

5. Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist during the germination period. Once established, lupines are relatively drought-tolerant but perform best with regular watering.

6. Fertilize Sparingly: Lupines do not require much fertilization. If necessary, apply a balanced, low-nitrogen fertilizer in early spring. Follow package instructions for dosage.

7. Provide Support (Optional): Tall lupine varieties may require staking to prevent them from falling over, especially in windy areas.

8. Deadhead (Optional): Remove spent flower spikes (deadheading) to encourage additional blooms and prevent self-seeding.
