This is a New Old Stock Kenwood navigation install kit. It appears to have been designed to allow installation of a Kenwood DDX radio (like the DDX6039, for instance) in some Ford and, possibly, Mercury and Lincoln vehicles. The kit is labeled for the 07 Expedition but may work in other vehicles with the same style radio. (Research is up to you.) It includes the following items. (A more detailed description of the items appears in the ADDITIONAL INFO section.)
Bezel:
This is a bezel you would attach to a Kenwood radio (like the DDX series) in order to adapt it to the Ford dash.
Main power/ground/speaker harness:
Add-on harness for reverse camera, park sensor, etcThis is quite the harness. It has seven different plugs on it and a steering wheel control interface! On one end, it has plugs for Ford radios like those found in some 2007 Expeditions. The first, larger Ford plug is for power, ground and speakers. There appears to be spots for 24 pins but not all are filled. The second, smaller Ford plug is for the Audiophile subwoofer system, if your vehicle happens to be equipped with that. (It may not work with THX or other optional systems in other vehicles.) There appear to be spots for 8 pins but they are not all filled. The third plug is a black RCA jack that we're guessing is for a subwoofer output on the Kenwood radio. The fourth plug appears to be intended for a Kenwood navigation system that could be added to the DDX radios (like the KNA-G420AT we have in our store.) There appear to be spots for 24 pins but not all are filled. The fifth plug is, what we assume to be, a Kenwood CD Changer connection. It is round with 13 pins. The sixth plug is the main Kenwood DDX harness with power, ground and speakers in it. There are spaces in the plug for 22 pins but a few are not filled. The seventh and final plug is what appears to be a connection point for the add-on harness detailed next. It has 4 pins and they are all filled. As mentioned, this harness also has a steering wheel control interface built into it. It is labeled as SWI-KEN-F / U22X-A. I assume this converts the steering wheel signals to the protocol necessary for some Kenwood head units.
This has 4 pins and they are all filled. The red wire is labeled ACC and has an in-line fuse. The green wire is labeled PARK. One purple wire is labeled REVERSE and the other is labeled REV-CAM.Navigation Quick Start Guide
