Perhaps the best remembered versions are 1945 starring Dennis O'Keefe & June Havoc, or the 1985 version starring Richard Pryor & John Candy. Great story of what it would take to waste away a million dollars in 1902. George Barr McCutcheon (1866?1928) was an American popular novelist and playwright. His best known works include a series of novels set in Graustark, a fictional East European country, and the novel Brewster's Millions, published under his pen name Richard P. Greaves, which was adapted into a play and several films. McCutcheon, born and educated in Indiana, along with a number of other Indiana authors of the same period, is considered to be part of the Golden Age of Indiana Literature. Interior is tight, clean and, except for POS & markings in pencil on ffep, unmarked. Hardcover has red cloth boards with black & gold lettering and designs, but no DJ.
