Vintage Majolica Style Honey Pot Bear Pitcher Figurine Blue Bowl Spoon Handle Skey REPRODUCTION
This piece is a modern reproduction of the majolica "Honey Bear Pitcher" designed by George Skey, of Wilnecote Works Tamworth Pottery, in the late 1800s.
Modeled as an open mouthed brown bear with a 'honey pot' bowl on his back, with a long handled small spoon attached to the bowl to form a handle. He is glazed in white and brown colors. Interior of the bowl is blue.
PLEASE NOTE: This is not an actual pitcher, but more of a figurine for display. Also while it sits fine free standing, it is a bit topheavy towards the back, and is quite easily tipped over. For this reason, I would recommend displaying it in a location where its back can rest against something.
VERY GOOD CONDITION ~ No nicks, chips, cracks, flea bites, repairs or damage. Even his fine teeth are intact.
Measures approx. 8 1/2" H x 7 1/2" L x 4" W.
Weighs 1 lb 11 oz prior to packaging.
