First edition, first printing.
"First printing" statement to the title page.
The twelfth mystery featuring the head of Manhattan homicide, Inspector Christopher McKee, that involves encounters with a silver leopard.
A nice first edition copy in a decent, somewhat elusive dust jacket.
Two numeric dates penned to the front end-paper, else near fine in black linen with pale-blue Random House mystery insignia to the front cover, gilt and reverse black titles to gilt and pale-blue decorative panels to the spine; in an about very good price-clipped dust jacket with art by H. Lawrence Hoffman, with tears and chips to the shelf-edges, fading and two very small holes to the spine panel, and some rub-wear to the front flap fold.
The dust jacket will be placed in a clear protective, removable sleeve after photographing for this entry.
