The Eve Light Switch is a connected wall switch compatible with Apple HomeKit. It has a sleek white design, operates with an On/Off method, and features wireless connectivity for remote control via an app. The switch offers single alternating functionality and comes in dimensions of 6.77x5.08x2.36 inches, weighing 0.77 pounds.

Switch your lights using Siri for voice control via iPhone, AppleWatch, HomePod, iPad, or MacBooks.

Adding a HomePod or AppleTV (4th gen minimum) opens up automations and control away from home. The HomePod will also work as a voice control for the switch, accepting your Hey Siri commands "turn living room light on"...

This particular model is pre-Thread. I believe Eve has been fairly robust in promoting the Thread / Matter protocols in their products. The lack of Thread does not affect the functioning of the switch at all, esp. if you have an AppleTV or HomePod to work as your "home hub". What Thread would offer would be more robust intercommunication of all your linked devices with each other, especially helpful if the device is beyond standard WiFi or Bluetooth range.

The Thread/Matter version of the Eve light switch currently sells for $50.

I bought this switch to integrate a ceiling mounted living room fixture. Before I installed it, I opted for a Philips Hue ceiling mounted fixture, which made the Eve switch redundant, since the Hue Home Hub controls the living room fixture wonderfully (using Siri, Hey Google, or Alexa).
