This is a vintage 1950's Napco #8301 Anthropomorphic Onions with Faces Salt & Pepper Shaker Set. The shakers are in the shape of onions with large bright happy faces. The onions are green in color on the back and have pink-red faces with green stems on the tops. The front of the shakers have wide black eyes and smiling faces with thick red lips. The shakers are hand painted with bright colors and a rich shiny glaze. Colors are true and vibrant.
The bottoms of the shakers are numbered 8301 in black lettering and Japan in black is written on both. Both shakers are complete with their original cork stoppers. The shakers are in very good vintage condition with no fading or crazing and show little signs of use or wear. Each shakers measure 3" tall x 2" wide at the center of the shaker.
Any glare, white spots, and color shift gradations on the item are from my camera flash, reflectors, and reflective shiny surfaces.
My items are shipped from Canada and I use Canada Post - we do not have a media rate or first class shipping as in the US. Canada Post charges by the size and weight of the items. When you receive your parcel, shipping costs do not reflect the 15% HST we have to pay in Nova Scotia on stamps. I do not ship on weekends or holidays as there is no mail service available at Canada Post on these days. Please remember that sometimes items are held up by your country's Customs which can extend shipping times.
