Relax & Unwind - Classics (4 Discs 2003 Reader's Digest 60 Songs) NEW Sealed
We’ve heard this collection has been used by hospital patients in recovery in order to help them find comfort and keep focused on the positive. And for good reason: these powerful songs are designed to make you relax and thoughtful… to see the big picture as it were.
In this special collection, the music editors at Reader's Digest have compiled their favorite classical pieces to produce a tranquil and calming tapestry. You may know many of these popular tracks already - since most are the “quiet” or “meditative” portions of much larger masterworks, but in Relax and Unwind with The Classics, you get one “chill” selection after another, luring your mind into a deep state of thought and quietness. Also good for nights you can’t sleep!
Included here are soft, delicate pieces like: Clair de Lune, Adagio for Strings, Meditation from Thais, Winter from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and Cavatina from “The Deer Hunter”. In fact, many of these expansive orchestral pieces were used in classic movies soundtracks like Barry Lyndon, The English Patient, Out of Africa and Platoon. All by the great composers: Schubert, Haydn, Chopin, Handel, Beethoven, Mozart and more (see complete track listing below)
This is a 4-CD box set that contains 60 soothing songs, guaranteed to soothe the soul.
Contains a listening guide with info on the songs and the composers.
