May 5 of 1975 to be precise, the Doobie Brothers played The Forum in Inglewood in one of their first shows with Michael McDonald added to the band. Singer/guitarist Tom Johnston had fallen ill, so McDonald was quickly brought in to handle Johnston’s vocal parts.
