- There is a small crocheted basket potholder, that could also have been used to hold utensils or napkins. It was originally white, but it has yellowed over the years to a dull off white color. It has a red trim and a red crocheted rose in the front. The rose measures approximately 1 1/2 inches. The potholder measures approximately 7 3/4 inches from center bottom to the top of the handles. The widest part of the potholder measures approximately 6 1/2 inches wide. I would date this one circa 1940s - 1950s.
All the handles have wear. The painted and stained ones have missing paint in spots. The plastic handle on the egg beater is scuffed and discolored along the seam line. The potholders have some wear, and would make great display pieces.
