Girmscheid #1266 .5L Stein 

This rare German stein with a bowling theme

is hard to date but based on my research I estimate 

it to be from around the 1920s.

It measures 10" tall and the overall condition is VG but there is a small crack and

related chip in the lid which can be seen in the last 2 photos. 

The inscriptions read:  "Gut Holz" or "Good Wood"  

and on the lid, --  "In Life as in bowling, always keep your eye on the best objective"
