Description
The Spectacled Owl is a medium-sized to large owl with a rounded head with no ear-tufts. It has a dark face with contrasting 'spectacles' made up of white eyebrows and other white streaking between the eyes and on the cheeks. With very few predators, this species can live up to 35 years in the wild. They are known to live for 25 to 30 years in captivity.
