A suspenseful, fast-paced mystery featuring con man and thief Phil Johnson who has a magician-like ability to create mind hallucinations in others, he gets involved with a black-market gang, and the plots escalates.

Green, a highly acclaimed author, had two books adapted to major Noir films, 'Odd Man Out', and 'The Fugitive' also titled 'On The Night Of Fire'.

A lovely well-preserved collectible.

Light age-toning to the end-papers as usual, former owner's address stamped to the inside front cover--discreetly hidden by the jacket's flap, slight rubbing and a tiny tear to the upper spine edge, light rubbing to the lower spine edge, else very good in polished black linen boards with cream-green titles and decorative rules to the spine; in a price-clipped very good dust jacket with minute shelf-edge rubs, a chip to the lower spine end, creased rubs to the upper spine edge, and rubbing to the front spine fold.

The dust jacket will be placed in a clear, removable, protective sleeve, after photographing for this entry.
