USAF, CIRCA 1950’s - 60’s, COMMAND  PILOT WING, 2 INCH, KOREA, VIETNAM

Nice clean 2 inch Meyer wing, clutch back. Hallmarked, (raised) “N.S. MEYER, INC. NEW YORK” with raised Meyer Shield and 9/M shield.

Qualification for this rating badge is initially determined by an examination of total service time, flying time and formation time. USAF requirement of at least 15 years rated service, 3000 hours as a pilot and 132 months of operational flying experience by the 18 year of aviation service.

Due to the N.S. Meyer hallmarks, this was worn during the Korean War and Vietnam War.
