Completely gorgeous antique Satsuma vase in the style of Moriage or raised decorations. Hand painted, exquisitely performed. The same scene repeated on two sides with much detail; there are some ladies crossing a short bridge, pagoda, sea in the background with fishing boats, and other scenery and people.. There is no damage; the gilding along the top rim is slightly worn. Not a lot of reason for that except possibly someone was polishing the table and dusting around regularly and they would move the vase by the top. The photos are to the best of our ability; they came out reasonably well but what I will tell you is that when you see the piece in person you definitely will not be disappointed.

I don't know what improvement could be made on this piece in terms of artwork, of skill, of design and detail. What would anyone want, twice as many figures half the size and you looked at it with a magnifying glass? It is totally stunning and of the highest quality and there is not a home in this world that should not find a place for it.

This is a really fantastic piece and you ought to not mess around; it is worth investing in.
