Great Deep Solid Red Color Apple with Green Stem and Controlled Bubbles
3" Diameter x 2 1/4" tall
I got this from a person who was a Murano glass collector. She thought it might be Murano and has had it for at least 15 years or so. There is no maker's mark.
There are controlled bubbles both round and teardrop shaped through out. The bottom has a pontil and is ground. Even though I call this round, you can tell from the side that it has a flattened top and is not perfectly round. I don't think this is a imperfection but actually more realistic that a perfectly round apple. The surface is not perfectly smooth but you can see in some areas how the piece was formed. Very unique.
There is one small nick toward the top
